Terms of Service

VEEBZ INC. · Effective August 24, 2026
The rules for buying and selling on Pigeon, in the plainest language we can manage. If something here is unclear, ask us rather than guessing — we'd rather explain it than argue about it later.

01Who we are, and what Pigeon is

Pigeon is a marketplace operated by VEEBZ INC., a corporation in Ontario, Canada. It lets people in the central GTA sell secondhand things to each other, with delivery by courier and payment held until the buyer has the item in hand.

We are not the seller. When you buy on Pigeon, the contract of sale is between you and the person who listed the item. What we provide is the marketplace, the payment handling, the courier label, and the protection described in these terms and in our refunds and returns policy.

02Who can use Pigeon

You need to be at least 18, able to enter a contract, and using an address inside our delivery area: Toronto, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville and Pickering. You may hold one account. Everything you do under your account is your responsibility, so keep your email secure — there is no password to steal, but anyone with your inbox can sign in as you.

03What can be listed

Only physical, secondhand goods you own and can ship, in one of the categories the sell form offers, priced between $1 and $300. Every parcel has to fit our courier's envelope: 15 inches on the longest side and 10 lb.

Not allowed, and removed when we find them:

  • Counterfeits, replicas, and anything infringing someone's trademark or copyright
  • Weapons, ammunition, drugs, tobacco, vapes, alcohol, and prescription items
  • Recalled goods, car seats, cosmetics that have been opened, and anything with a safety recall outstanding
  • Live animals, food, and perishables
  • Digital goods, services, tickets, gift cards, and anything that isn't a physical object being shipped
  • Stolen property, or anything you don't have the right to sell
  • Adult material, hazardous materials, and anything a courier won't legally carry

Listings are screened automatically shortly after they go live, and can be paused for review or removed. Buyers can report a listing; enough independent reports pause it pending a look by a person.

04Listing accurately

A listing needs at least 3 photos of the actual item — not stock images — and a close-up of any flaw when the condition you pick says there is one. Describe the item honestly, including what's wrong with it. Most disputes we see come down to a flaw that was visible to the seller and invisible to the buyer.

You keep ownership of your photos and text. By posting them you give us permission to display and reproduce them for the purpose of running and promoting the marketplace.

05Buying: when you're charged

When you buy, your card is authorized, not charged. The money moves only when the seller hands the parcel to the courier and the courier scans it. If the seller never ships, the authorization is released and you pay nothing.

You can cancel yourself within 1 hour of buying, before the seller has shipped. After that, cancelling is a conversation with the seller or a case.

A card authorization can expire if a seller takes the full handover window. When that happens we re-authorize the same card automatically so the order can continue. If that re-authorization is declined, the order is cancelled and both sides are told.

06Selling: shipping on time

When something sells you have until the end of the 5th business day to hand the parcel over, either by dropping it at a courier counter or by booking a door pickup. We remind you three days out, on the last day, and that evening.

Miss it and the order is cancelled, the buyer is released from it, and you get a strike. Reach 3 strikes and selling is paused on your account for 30 days. Strikes are also issued for listings removed by moderation.

Ship the item you listed, packed well enough to survive a courier. The photo-match promise on every listing is a commitment you make to the buyer: the thing that arrives is the thing in the photos.

07What it costs

  • Sellers receive exactly the asking price. A $40 listing pays out $40.
  • Buyers pay the price, a $4.99 delivery fee, and a protection fee of 9% + $0.79. Everything is itemised before you pay.
  • Booking a door pickup instead of dropping off costs the seller $4.99 for most parcels; larger or heavier ones cost more, quoted before you book.
  • A return label in a resolved case costs the seller $4.99.

VEEBZ INC. is currently a GST/HST small supplier, so no tax is charged on Pigeon fees or delivery, and receipts say so. If that changes, tax will be shown on receipts from that point on — we won't apply it retroactively.

08Getting paid

The buyer has 48 hours from delivery to approve the item or open a case. On approval — or automatically when that window passes without a case — the money lands in your Pigeon balance.

Payouts run through Stripe Connect, which means completing Stripe's identity checks before you can withdraw. We don't see or store your bank details. Withdraw any amount over $10; it reaches your bank in one or two business days.

Canadian tax law requires us to report sellers who pass a threshold of sales in a calendar year to the CRA. If that is you, we'll ask for your SIN, and we can't keep paying you out until you provide it.

09When something goes wrong

Open a case from the order page within the inspection window. The money is still held at that point, so nothing has to be clawed back. The seller has 3 business days to respond — refund in full, ask for the item back at their own cost, or disagree. There are no partial refunds. Silence past that deadline refunds the buyer and strikes the seller.

If the two of you disagree, we decide, using the listing, the photos from both sides, the messages, and the courier record. Our decision determines where the held money goes. It doesn't stop you pursuing whatever rights you have outside Pigeon. Full detail is in the refunds and returns policy.

10How to behave

Keep conversations and payments on Pigeon. Someone asking you to pay by e-transfer or to move to another app is the single most reliable sign of a scam, and protection only applies to orders paid through Pigeon — which is why phone numbers, emails and links are hidden in chat.

Also not allowed: harassment, discrimination, impersonation, scraping, probing our systems, using Pigeon to launder money, and creating a second account to get around a pause.

11Suspension and closing your account

We can pause selling, remove listings, or close an account that breaks these terms, and we'll tell you why. You can close your own account from Settings at any time. Closing doesn't cancel obligations already in flight: open orders still have to be delivered, and money we hold for you stays yours to withdraw.

If you haven't signed in for 28 days we hide your live listings so nobody buys something you may no longer have. Nothing is deleted; reactivate them when you're back.

12What we're responsible for

We run the marketplace with reasonable care, but we don't inspect items, we don't guarantee any listing is accurate, and we don't control what the courier does with a parcel. Pigeon is provided as-is.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything connected with Pigeon is limited to the fees you paid us on the order in question, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited — including your rights under Ontario consumer protection law, which stand regardless of what this page says.

13Changes, and the law that applies

We'll post a new effective date at the top when these terms change, and tell you in-app when the change is material. Continuing to use Pigeon after that means you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and the courts of Ontario have jurisdiction.
